Peter Nyori a Sudanese ,who attended the Lou Douglas Lecture Tuesday in Forum Hall, said " Being from Sudan, myself, what Simon Deng talked about refreshed my mind about all the hardships ordinary Sudanese had gone through and are still going through. i thank God that we have Sudanese like Simon Deng who are not afraid to expose what Sudan is going through to the rest of the world."
Deng called out to the crowd to take action against the genocide that occurs in his homeland saying their pens are mightier than the ineffective U.N.
